Our Approach
120 SHGs meeting weekly for savings, peer support, and access to collateral-free loans. Average loan size: ₹18,000. Repayment rate: 96%.
Training in tailoring, food processing, vermicomposting, bamboo craft, and mobile repair. Courses are 3–6 months and linked to market buyers and e-commerce platforms.
Monthly legal camps with lawyers covering property rights, domestic violence, marriage laws, and ration card entitlements. Over 4,000 women have attended since 2018.
Training for aspiring Gram Panchayat members. 42 Prayas alumni now hold elected positions in local government across Maharashtra.
A 24×7 helpline staffed by trained counsellors, with referral networks to shelter homes, legal aid, and police support for survivors of domestic violence.
Training in organic farming, soil health, and market linkages for women farmers. 600 women farmers reached; average income increase of 38% reported.

Changemaker Story
Anusaya Pawar from Beed joined a Prayas Self-Help Group in 2019 after her husband's illness left the family in debt. She attended skill training, accessed a microloan, and started a tailoring shop from her courtyard. Five years later, she employs six women from her village and has repaid all loans. She now trains other SHG members in her district.
