What our healthcare wing does

🚐

Mobile Health Clinics

8 fully-equipped mobile clinics rotate through 120 villages monthly. Each van carries a doctor, nurse, lab technician, and a stock of essential medicines — all free of charge.

🤱

Maternal & Child Health

Antenatal care, safe delivery support, newborn care, and immunisation drives. We've conducted 12,000+ ante-natal checkups and supported 3,200 safe deliveries since 2010.

🥗

Nutrition Rehabilitation

4 Nutritional Rehabilitation Centres (NRCs) treat children under 5 with severe acute malnutrition. Last year, 840 children were successfully treated and discharged.

🧠

Mental Health Camps

Quarterly mental health camps in partnership with district hospitals bring psychiatrists to rural areas. Over 2,400 patients received free counselling last year.

👁️

Eye Care & Surgery

Annual eye screening drives for schoolchildren and the elderly. We have facilitated 1,800+ free cataract surgeries in partnership with Aravind Eye Care System.

🩸

Sickle Cell Screening

Maharashtra has one of India's highest sickle cell disease rates. We run dedicated screening camps in tribal areas with genetic counselling and support groups.

Impact Story

Melatai almost lost her baby to malnutrition. Now he's thriving.

When Melatai Gavit from Jawhar taluka first came to our NRC in 2024, her 18-month-old son Aakash weighed just 5.8 kg — severely malnourished. After 45 days of intensive care and nutrition support, he went home weighing 8.2 kg, happy and healthy.

Melatai is now a community nutrition volunteer, trained by Prayas to identify and refer malnourished children in her village.
